‘…If the measurement of the temple is in every way perfect, there is perfection in the universe as well.’(XXII, 92.) It is unthinkable in India to establish a noble endeavour around a Symbol that is imperfect, flawed; or else distorted purposely or out of ignorance by impositions of the human ego. For these reasons all sacred art, sculpture and architecture were anonymously executed to lessen the prominence of the ego. In the place of honour there is, traditionally, the highest symbol of perfection, fashioned with meticulous care particularly in what concerns proportions and measurements. To stray from those ancient injunctions is unthinkable.
Simply put, this perfect form then generates an atmosphere that UPLIFTS, or allows for an uplifting of the surrounding environment. The perfect form central to a town or any cherished endeavour in India is the MODEL TO EMULATE, to GROW INTO.'
Thank you for this Lotus, it's such an great link! I've been reading through as and when I can and the synchronicity is amazing. I have just before reading this mentioned Sri Aurobindo in an article!
There is so much I could go into here but it's all personal story which wouldn't go well in your thread, so I just offer you my heart felt gratitude that you posted to the forum.
Love to you and yours

Great topic thank you.
I always felt that an altar in ones house should be treated this way too.
A small place of perfect order around which the everyday life spins.
I have heard that the cathedrals of Europe were traditionally begun by inscribing
a vessica pisces from which the geometries emanated outwards.

I have found it quite interesting that many of the sights around the world known to house secret society’s and cults, include sacred geometry into the architecture. Do they know something that we don't. I've always contemplated the effects of sacred geometry being used by the wrong people and wonder if its part of what ails this world. I think more people should learn sacred geometry so they can use it to combat dark forces. I may just be a loony but I think this information is powerful.
I agree.
Certain symbols may have been co-opted by nefarious forces but
we need to use them for positive purposes.
If these are the fundamental forms of space and time,
and possibly also to our DNA and our minds,
then of course they are powerful presences wherever they appear.
