Nassim Haramein is working on a device to extract energy from the vacuum of space itself, the same way he believes the universe does it.

He sees the origin of the spin of everything from galaxies to subatomic particles in the density gradients between areas of space.
The most obvious example of this is weather systems such as cyclones and tornados that are formed from differences in air pressure.

So theoretically, if you can cause a small difference in density through geometry then you could use the spin to create bigger differences in density that would create more spin etc, until you have something useful.
