3D Fractals

In the last few years there has been a major breakthrough in 3D fractals. First the cubic Mandelbox and then the bulbous Mandelbulb were discovered, and these seem to have lead to an infinite variety of types of 3D infinitely complex surfaces within finite spaces. Many of them are technically known as ‘ifs’ – iterated function systems.
