Plato said around 2500 years ago that the study of geometry develops the most important functionality of the human mind. He said that those who have not experienced this will have trouble understanding what the hell he is talking about.

To study the forms that the universe is built upon, whether they be vortexes of energy forming galaxies or collections of atoms organizing themselves into organic molecules, is to contemplate the mind of God.

In a world being torn apart by fear and greed
its sometimes hard to see the value of eternal pursuits
but nonetheless they are a major part of maintaining ones sanity
amidst the madness.
