I have just started to study the Tesseract with a set of metal frames made for me by a man in Michigan.  This is a whole new area of study and I am hoping to connect with those who have worked with the inferred fourth dimension of the Schlegel and Schlafli forms. There are game makers working on a fourth dimension computer modeling so this area of the Platonic Solids is expanding.

Hi White Crow –

Welcome to the forum.

I have been working in my own way with the tesseract for 30+ years since I came up with a different three dimensionalization of it that I call the Toroidal Hypercube projection. All 8 cubes are identical but massively distorted so that none of their squares actually have all 4 of their points in the same plane.

As far as Shlegel and Schlafli forms I will have to educate myself better before I can talk about them. Laugh

I have recently purchased some beautiful 3D versions of all the 4D ‘platonics’ from http://www.Shapeways.com

Can you be more specific about the games side of things ?

It took me awhile to get back to this forum. I like the looks of the hypercube and will pursue the Shapeways.  What I have are wire frames made by Mike Mongan in Michigan that you can dip in bubble/glycerin mixture but I only have the tetrahedron, the octahedron and the hexahedron.  The Icosahedron and the Dodecahedron where more expensive so I didn’t get them yet.

But, getting into the implications.  There is also a big controversy about the Star of David being nested tetrahedrons and when a golden mean spiral is run out from the spin points (depending on the degree of twist) you get a shadow of both the Hebrew alphabet and the cursive alphabet we use.  Now, this is only visible when you can model the forth dimension with current technology so it has remained a hidden “secret” that is voraciously protected.  There has been a major legal battle to keep this information under a patent but I see it as a 4th dimension projection that creates a major question – where did this knowledge come from and who used it?

Here is one link on a “game” approach to demonstration of the 4th dimension. http://kotaku.com/5585099/the-…..-dimension  I have a personal reason to study this, although I do not have the technical background, I can grasp concepts and implications.  I appreciate your input to my study.

The links are interesting. I know recently I have been considering creating a physical, moveable, representation of the Tesseract I have a few ideas already on how it could be done. Any ideas?Smile

@GingerSpirit – If you can use a 3D modelling program, or you are willing to hire someone who can, then your imagingation is the only limit with 3D printing.  Very soon I will be launching the SacredGeometryWeb Shapeways shop here http://www.Shapeways.com/shop/…..eometryweb

You would probably find this instpirational too – its the only model I have ever seen that can turn inside out like a projected hypercube should be able to. I sent him an email asking for a quote on getting on but never heard back.
