Apparently there is a new model for the Universe that fits the observed data better than the Expanding Universe that was popular last century and continues to dominate mainstream thought. Its called the Dynamic Steady State Universe, and its based on the galaxies, or at least the gravitational masses being distributed in a cuboctahedral geometry (or its dual the rhombicdodecahedron). These forms can fill space and are technically called ‘honeycombs‘ such as these ones available at http://www.3dMadalas.com –
