I love to spin poi every day, I find it centers and balances me. . . and going bare foot is THE best for grounding!
It stretches the body and as you progress you become much more limber and your spacial awareness improves drastically, it made me a lot less clumsy!
When I moved onto fire poi I was enthralled by the rush of it. . . The sound of the flame as it encircles my body has something primal to it.
I used to do double sticks and couldn’t understand why everyone wasn’t as entranced by it as I was.
I think it developed my ability to visualize, and the synesthesia between feeling and seeing what was happening.
Juggling of some form is almost essential for integrating Sacred Geometry into the body/mind.
