Recently Ive become enchanted by therapeutic forms that focus on reprogramming the nervous system rather than stretching muscles etc.

Somatics, as Ive been taught it, seeks to reawaken the original experience of effortless movement by gently extending and contracting the core groups of muscles.
So far it seems to have at least as much beneficial effect as yoga without any risk of strain or even effort.

It has revolutionised my experience of movement, and shown me how the body is connected in a much deeper way than before.
